MEET THE TEACHER
Mary Roveda
 | Teaching and training are my passions. I have a Masters in Linguistics and a Tesol diploma in teaching English. I am a British citizen, and I speak several languages. Thanks to my work for Medecins Sans Frontieres as an administrator I have lived in many parts of the world and become very attuned to different cultures. However, I have spent most of my life in Kenya where I worked for the British Council as a teacher and trainer for 10 years and then for UNON as a teacher, trainer and career coach for another 10 years. During that time, I had the opportunity to go on work assignments to different UN duty stations in Africa, Afghanistan and Bahrein. I worked with different UN Agencies and also focused on teaching writing skills such as email etiquette, report writing, interview panel reports and Human Rights reports. I currently live in Italy and continue running lively and engaging classes for UNON online. My main goal is to increase students’ confidence so as to improve their performance. I wish to empower them to use English with ease and clarity. |
